James E. Lake
Law Practice
James Lake is a registered patent attorney specializing in client counseling and procurement of intellectual property rights in the U.S. and abroad. Mr. Lake’s technical areas of emphasis include semiconductor processing, materials science, nanotechnology, metallurgy, chemical manufacturing, printing ink and toner, and a variety of niche areas associated with basic research and development. In addition to procuring and maintaining patent portfolios, he supports engineers and scientists in implementing innovations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lake was a shareholder with Wells St. John, P.S., in Spokane, WA. Before pursuing a legal career, he earned a degree in chemical engineering and obtained several years of experience in the field working as an environmental engineer with the Shell Oil Company. Mr. Lake is licensed to practice law in the state of Washington.
